Resumen. En este trabajo se presenta una experiencia programada en la asignatura de segundo curso Historia de la Lengua Inglesa I del Grado de Estudios Ingleses de la Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha. La actividad consiste en la realización, distribución y evaluación de una colección de episodios de podcast sobre la historia externa del inglés usando los principios del aprendizaje colaborativo. En el desarrollo de esta experiencia los alumnos han podido mejorar su conocimiento de la lengua inglesa (idioma en el cual se desarrolla toda la actividad) y familiarizarse con las tecnologías móviles y con la creación de podcasts. Por su naturaleza, esta actividad puede adaptarse con enorme facilidad a cualquier otra asignatura del grado donde los alumnos deban expresarse en alguna de las lenguas que están aprendiendo.

Abstract. This project presents an experience planned in the second year subject History of the English Language 1 included in the English Studies Degree of the Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha. The work project consisted in the creation, distribution and evaluation of a series of podcast episodes on the external history of English using collaborative learning techniques. In the development of this experience, students were able not only to improve their English (the language used throughout the whole activity), but also to become more familiar with mobile technologies and podcasting. The nature of this activity allows its easy adaptation into many other courses where students are required to use the foreign languages they are learning. |
